Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of events do you participate in?

All sorts! We love working with local schools, hospitals, community organizations, and charities for sporting events, run/walks, last day of school celebrations, staff appreciation days, and other community-driven fundraisers. Because we restored our truck for the community to enjoy, we don't typically bring it to private parties or residences.

Where is your truck located and how far will you travel?

Our truck is located in Viroqua, WI, and we typically travel to surrounding communities within an hour's drive, such as Westby, Cashton, La Farge, Soldiers Grove, Gays Mills, Hillsboro, Sparta, Tomah, West Salem, La Crosse, Onalaska, and Richland Center. If your event is farther away, submit a request and we'll let you know what's possible!

Is there a minimum/maximum number of people required for an event?

There's no minimum or maximum, but our truck's freezer holds 500 - 1000 ice cream treats depending on the type of ice cream we provide at the event. For larger events or multi-day events, we'll plan for a restock.

What kind of ice cream do you serve?

We change up the ice cream we provide frequently, but it's always pre-packaged to abide by food safety laws. We've served up Drumsticks, Ice Cream Sandwiches, Klondike Bars, Push-Ups, Popsicles, Fudge Bars, and so many more! While our inventory is always changing, if you have a specific request (ex. dairy-free options, no nuts, etc.), let us know, and we'll do our best to accommodate.

Why don't you charge for this? Is it really free?

Yes, it's really free! And why? Well...ice cream tastes better when it's free! We're just happy to get to fundraise for our community, proudly drive the truck our technicians restored, and spread joy one treat at a time.

We typically foot the bill for the ice cream, but this season, we were approached by the Vernon County Dairy Promotion, and they've graciously donated ice cream to our events all over Vernon County. Now that's community partnership!!

How do you choose which events you take the truck to?

While we'd love to take our truck to every event we get requests for, it's pretty popular, so we do have to prioritize. We review requests as they come in, and we do our best to book a mix of events in different communities fundraising toward different causes. We also try to avoid events where vendors are selling food in the same location, unless the proceeds are also going toward the organization/charity, as we want to avoid taking away opportunity from another local business.

What time of year do you serve ice cream?

Our busiest season is from April to October, but if you're craving ice cream in the winter, we can bring our truck indoors. Just make sure your event space has a large enough service door to bring our truck through comfortably.

Where did you get the truck and why?

In 2024, Spanky joked that he wanted to find an old ice cream truck to drive around and hand out free ice cream. Well, we thought he was joking until a 1965 DIVCO Milk Truck arrived at the dealership...

Our expert technicians quickly started restoring it from the inside out; before long, our Collision Center team had cut a hole in the side of the truck, fit a freezer into the back, and painted it creamy vanilla & mint-chip green. They even included a little old bell to ring while we're driving down the road. It made it's big debut at Sleepy Hollow Auto Group's 35th anniversary party in August 2024, and we've been on the road with it ever since!

Do you serve anything besides ice cream?

Nope! Unless you count popsicles. :)
