The 2018 Chevrolet Colorado is available in six trim levels, the Base, the Work Truck (WT), the LT, the Z71, and the ZR2.  The Base trim level can only be equipped with Two-Wheel Drive (2WD) and the ZR2 trim is only available with Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) while all other trim levels can be equipped with either 2WD or 4WD.  The three engine options of the 2018 Chevy Colorado include a 2.5L I4, a 3.6L V6, and a 2.8L Duramax® Turbo-Diesel I4.  When the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado gets equipped with a Crew Cab, Short Box, 2WD, and the 2.5L I4 engine it has the ability to tow up to 3,500 pounds and has a payload rating of 1,440 pounds.  With the same Crew Cab, Short Box & 2WD setup, the 3.6L V6 engine of the 2018 Colorado can tow a maximum of 7,000 pounds and has a maximum payload capacity of 1,574 pounds.  Finally, the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado with a Crew Cab, Short Box, 2WD, and the 2.8L Turbo-Diesel engine it can tow up to 7,700 pounds and has a maximum payload rating of 1,513 pounds.

    Great article on the Colorado! This guys towing capacity is great. I have always been a full size truck guy myself but I really like this truck. It’s not a big truck but does just what I need it to do without missing having a full size truck.
